Currently, there are three industry classifications for artificial lift systems, as follows:
Positive Displacement Pumps: Reciprocating Rod Pump (RRP); Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP)

Dynamic Pumps: Electric Submersible Pump (ESP); Jet Pump (JP)

Other: Gas Lift (GL); Plunger Lift (PL)
